Sahl Hasheesh: space and quiet
Sahl Hasheesh is a resort bay south of Hurghada. The Oberoi suits couples who want space and privacy: every room is a suite, private dinners can be set up on the pier, and the Oberoi Spa has a couples suite. El Gouna is a lagoon town north of Hurghada with marinas, restaurants and a relaxed evening scene. The marriage certificate rule
Many hotels in Egypt ask Egyptian couples, and often Arab couples, to show a marriage certificate at check-in, while foreign couples are usually not asked. Honeymoon offers can be stricter: at Pickalbatros hotels, the Honeymoon Offer room requires a marriage certificate issued within the last three months. Bring the original or an official copy, and tell us your nationalities so we can check the rule for your hotel.
