Pickalbatros Blu Spa Adults Only

Pickalbatros Blu Spa Resort is an adults-only, couples-focused spa resort on El Corniche Street (Villages Road) in Hurghada, right on the town's tourist promenade. It is the Pickalbatros group's newest couples-only spa resort, built in 2021, with 318 rooms in a main building and two side buildings on a plot of almost 30,000 m².

Stays are Ultra All-inclusive, with four restaurants, several bars, four outdoor pools, a heated indoor pool with jacuzzis and a private sandy beach with a long jetty. Guests must be 16 or older, so it suits couples and honeymooners who want a calm, grown-up resort only minutes from Hurghada airport.

Rooms and suites

Rooms come in four levels: Deluxe (42 m², with pool, side-sea or sea views), Premium, Elite (on the upper floors, with sea or side-sea views) and Executive Suites with a separate living area and a large sea-view terrace. Most have a balcony or terrace, and all have air conditioning, a minibar with water and soft drinks, tea and coffee, a safe and free Wi-Fi. Every room is non-smoking, and three accessible Deluxe rooms are available on request.

Restaurants and bars

The all-inclusive plan covers four restaurants: Culina (oriental and seafood buffet), Alfredo (Italian), East & West (oriental and western buffet) and the Golden Lounge, an à la carte restaurant you can book once per stay, three days ahead. The hotel asks guests to reserve for both buffet and à la carte dining. There is a Lobby Bar, a Beach Bar, a Healthy Bar by the pool for juices, smoothies and mocktails, and Alfredo Café for coffee and pastries. An all-day bakery is included, and a gluten-free menu is available on request.

Pools and beach

There are four outdoor pools for adults (one heated in winter) and a large indoor pool, also heated in winter, with four jacuzzis. The private sandy beach is about 75 m long with an 85 m pontoon; the sea gets deeper gradually and water shoes are recommended. Sunbeds, umbrellas and towels are free at the pools and on the beach, and an on-site diving and water-sports centre offers paid activities.

Spa and activities

Omega Spa offers massages, facials, body treatments, Egyptian and Vichy hammams, a sauna, a steam room and a beauty salon. Treatments are paid, but every stay includes one free sauna, steam and jacuzzi session. The gym, beach volleyball, table tennis, darts and boccia are free, evenings bring live music, shows and DJ sets, and guests can use the mini-golf and multipurpose court at the neighbouring Pickalbatros White Beach Resort.

Fly into Hurghada International Airport (HRG). Resort transfers are typically 15 to 45 minutes depending on the area. Cairo is the main alternative gateway for longer itineraries.

Best time to visit: Hurghada is sunny almost all year. March–May and September–November balance warm days with a comfortable sea. Winter is mild with cooler evenings. Summer is hot, but the sea is at its warmest.
