What is Pickalbatros?
Pickalbatros Hotels & Resorts is an Egyptian hotel group that says it has more than 30 years in hospitality. Its hotels carry three names: Pickalbatros (most hotels), Albatros (Beach Albatros in Hurghada, Albatros Sharm and the new Albatros Makadi) and Neverland, the aqua-park complex south of Hurghada. The group also runs six hotels in Morocco (Marrakech and Agadir) and lists six more resorts as "coming soon" in its Capri City project in Sahl Hasheesh, with no opening date yet. Hurghada has the most choice. Five hotels are right on the beach along the Corniche and the Safaga road; the others are on the second line with a free shuttle to a shared beach, and are built around pools and slides instead.

Two groups share restaurants: guests at Aqua Park, Aqua Blu and Aqua Vista can eat and drink across all three, and Jungle Aqua Park and Alf Leila Wa Leila share the Neverland complex and its dining. Both are quieter than Hurghada town. Albatros Makadi opened in 2025 and is the group's newest hotel in Egypt; the Citadel is built like a medieval castle and every room faces the sea.

Beachfront or second line?
Eight Pickalbatros hotels are not on the sea: Aqua Park, Aqua Blu, Aqua Vista, Jungle Aqua Park and Alf Leila Wa Leila in Hurghada, and Laguna Club, Aqua Park and Aqua Blu in Sharm. Each runs a free shuttle to a shared beach between about 600 m and 1.2 km away. Luxury Suites in Sharm also uses a shuttle to its beach. If walking to the sea from your room matters, choose one of the beachfront hotels in the tables above.
Rules that apply at every Pickalbatros hotel
- Rate for Egyptians and residents: one room rate is for Egyptians and residents, who must show a valid Egyptian ID, passport or residency at check-in. Egyptians pay in Egyptian pounds; under Egyptian law, foreign guests pay in foreign currency. Read hotel rates for Egyptians, residents and Gulf guests.
- Children: the first child under 12 stays free and a second child aged 2–11 pays half the adult rate; in a family room both children under 12 stay free. Guests aged 12 and over count as adults. Bring birth certificates.
- Honeymoon offer: needs a marriage certificate issued within the last three months.
- No day use and no pets: you book at least one night.
- Drinks: at most hotels the all-inclusive plan includes local alcoholic drinks from 10:00 to midnight.
What is new at Pickalbatros in 2026
- Pickalbatros Palace Hurghada opened a two-storey beach club serving lunch from 12:00 to 17:00.
- Pickalbatros Palace Port Ghalib opened two new pools on 11 September 2026: a children's pool 50 cm deep and an adult pool 1.20 m deep.
- A "Midway Street" of 18 attractions opened for guests of Aqua Park and Aqua Blu in Sharm, and another opened at Portofino, Marsa Alam, on 25 August 2026.
- Beach Albatros in Hurghada is adding ten more water slides as part of its 2026 upgrades.
