Pickalbatros Palace Resort Hurghada is a 5-star all-inclusive resort on the beach along the Safaga road, about 15 minutes from Hurghada International Airport. Built in 2008 in a Moroccan palace style, it has 621 rooms set in 72,000 m² of gardens.
Its private sandy beach has a pontoon out to a coral reef for snorkelling, and guests can use the aqua park at the neighbouring Beach Albatros for free. With Moroccan, Italian and seafood restaurants, a jacuzzi suite and an adults-only spa, it works for couples as well as families.

Rooms and suites
Deluxe Rooms (36 m²) have garden, pool, sea or side-sea views, Family Rooms (58 m²) have two bedrooms joined by a door, and sea-view suites (70 m²) add a living area, one with its own jacuzzi. Buildings have lifts, and four accessible rooms are available on request.
Restaurants and bars
Restaurants include Mediterranean (international), The Sky (Italian), East & West, Culina (seafood) and Tagine (Moroccan), with a beach food court and bakery. Bars include the Blue Lounge, the Oriental Palace Bar, Columbus Café, a pool bar and an amphitheatre bar. The hotel asks guests to reserve for buffet and à la carte dining.
Beach, pools and the aqua park next door
The private sandy beach has free umbrellas, loungers and towels and a pontoon to a coral reef (water shoes needed). There are three outdoor pools and a children's pool with slides, and guests can use Beach Albatros's aqua park, with 13 adult and 9 children's slides, for free.
Kids, sport and spa
The free Alba Kids Club takes children aged 4 to 12. The gym, beach volleyball and table tennis are free, with tennis and mini-golf at Beach Albatros. Evenings bring shows, DJ sets and themed parties, and the adults-only spa offers paid treatments with a sauna and jacuzzi.
Good to know before you book
- Children: the first child under 12 stays free and a second child aged 2–11 pays half the adult rate; in a family room both children under 12 stay free. Bring birth certificates to check-in; guests aged 12 and over count as adults.
- Egyptians and residents can book a special room rate. A valid Egyptian ID, Egyptian passport or residency must be shown at check-in, or extra charges apply. Egyptians pay in Egyptian pounds; under Egyptian law, foreign guests pay in foreign currency.
- The Honeymoon Offer room requires a marriage certificate issued within the last three months.
- Day-use passes are not sold (book at least one night), and pets are not allowed.

Fly into Hurghada International Airport (HRG). Resort transfers are typically 15 to 45 minutes depending on the area. Cairo is the main alternative gateway for longer itineraries.
Best time to visit: Hurghada is sunny almost all year. March–May and September–November balance warm days with a comfortable sea. Winter is mild with cooler evenings. Summer is hot, but the sea is at its warmest.
