Pickalbatros Aqua Blu Resort is a 4-star all-inclusive family resort on the Safaga road in Hurghada, about 15 minutes from the airport. It is a smaller hotel of 226 rooms that shares restaurants, bars, aqua parks and sports with its neighbours Aqua Park and Aqua Vista.

Rooms
Rooms with garden or pool views sleep up to four, and family rooms have two areas joined by a sliding door. All have air conditioning, a 40-inch TV, a safe, a minibar with water, tea and coffee, blackout curtains and free Wi-Fi. The buildings have three floors without lifts.
Dining
Tagine, the oriental buffet, is at Aqua Blu, and all-inclusive guests can also eat at Culina and East & West (Aqua Park) and Soprano (Aqua Vista), plus food courts, a 24-hour bakery and the Colonies à la carte restaurant once per stay. Aqua Blu's bars include the Lobby Bar, Concerto Bar, Melody pool bar and Sky Bar.
Pools and aqua parks
The wave pool has three built-in jacuzzis, and there are more adult and children's pools on site, an aqua park with 9 adult and 16 children's slides, and paid access to an Olympic pool in winter.
Kids, sport and evenings
The free Alba Kids Club takes children aged 4 to 12. Midway Street, an evening funfair with 19 attractions, an indoor gaming arcade and free VR games (ages 6+) add evening fun. There are four padel courts, a tennis court and a multi-court, and an adults-only spa with paid treatments.
Good to know before you book
- Not beachfront: a free shuttle runs every 30 minutes to the shared beach about 600 m away, where the entry is partly rocky and beach shoes are recommended.
- Children: the first child under 12 stays free and a second child aged 2–11 pays half the adult rate; in a family room both children under 12 stay free. Bring birth certificates to check-in; guests aged 12 and over count as adults.
- Egyptians and residents can book a special room rate. A valid Egyptian ID, Egyptian passport or residency must be shown at check-in, or extra charges apply. Egyptians pay in Egyptian pounds; under Egyptian law, foreign guests pay in foreign currency.

Getting to Hurghada
Fly into Hurghada International Airport (HRG). Resort transfers are typically 15 to 45 minutes depending on the area. Cairo is the main alternative gateway for longer itineraries.
Best time to visit: Hurghada is sunny almost all year. March–May and September–November balance warm days with a comfortable sea. Winter is mild with cooler evenings. Summer is hot, but the sea is at its warmest.
