Red Sea Resorts for Saudi and Gulf Families: Where to Stay in Egypt

By ReserVella Editorial Team ·

Quick answer

Gulf families usually want space, a kids club and easy beach days. On the Egyptian Red Sea, look for two-bedroom family rooms (Albatros Makadi, Pickalbatros Citadel, Pickalbatros Sea World), big aqua parks (the Neverland complex in Hurghada, Pickalbatros Palace Sharm) or a private island (Tawila Island). Guests who are not Egyptian are quoted in US dollars, and children's policies differ by hotel, so send every child's age when you ask for a quote.

Families from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman often travel in larger groups, with several children and sometimes grandparents. That makes room size, the kids club and how the hotel handles children's rates more important than the brand. This guide picks Red Sea resorts that ReserVella arranges and that are built for families. Hotel details come from each hotel's official pages, checked in October 2026.

Family rooms: how much space you really get

Standard rooms in most resorts sleep two adults and one or two children. For two adults with three or more children, or a family with grandparents, ask for a two-bedroom room. At Albatros Makadi Resort the Family Connecting Rooms (106 m²) and Splash Rooms (103 m²) each have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Pickalbatros Citadel Sahl Hasheesh and Pickalbatros Sea World both have two-bedroom Family Rooms, and Beach Albatros in Hurghada has two-bedroom family rooms for up to five guests. For the most privacy, Tawila Island Resort has a two-floor presidential villa with three bedrooms and its own infinity pool.

Kids clubs and aqua parks

Pickalbatros resorts run a free Alba Kids Club for children aged 4 to 12. If slides are the priority, the Neverland complex in Hurghada, home to Pickalbatros Jungle Aqua Park, has the aqua park the group describes as the largest in Egypt, with a surf pool, wave pool and the Crazy River; note it is not on the beach. Pickalbatros Palace Sharm combines adults' and kids' aqua parks with a jetty to a natural coral reef. Compare more options in our family resorts guide.

Children's rates and documents

  • At Pickalbatros hotels, the first child under 12 stays free and a second child aged 2–11 pays half the adult rate; in a family room both children under 12 stay free. Guests aged 12 and over count as adults.
  • Pickalbatros hotels ask for children's birth certificates at check-in, so pack them with the passports.
  • At Tawila Island, under-2s stay free with a cot, and under-6s sharing their parents' room stay free.
  • Married couples should bring their marriage certificate: many hotels in Egypt ask Egyptian couples, and often Arab couples, to show one at check-in.

Prices and payment for Gulf guests

ReserVella quotes guests who are not Egyptian in US dollars (USD), and Egyptian guests in Egyptian pounds. The rate you get depends on your nationality and residence; see our guide to Egyptian, resident and Gulf rates. Payment is by InstaPay or bank transfer after a written quote with the cancellation terms.

What to ask before you book

  1. The ages of every child, so the hotel can apply the right children's rate.
  2. Whether your room type fits your whole family, or whether you need two rooms or connecting rooms.
  3. Kids club ages and opening hours.
  4. Whether the beach has a gentle sandy entry or a reef where children need water shoes.
  5. The meal plan, and what the all-inclusive covers for your family.
  6. Airport transfer time and whether a large private vehicle is needed for your group.
